Here in Connecticut it snows a lot. Some years we have been known to have 15 storms in a row. However, over the years, we have been fortunate and actually had mild 30 to 50 degree weather for most of the winter.
This year we're not so lucky. It's December 20th and we just got dumped on by ole mother nature. I'm looking at 12" to 15" of packed white snow on the ground. If you look at it just right the snow looks like flour. I could make a Christmas cake! Now someone teach me how to cook.
Here are some pictures I have taken at our house over time during snowstorms. I didn't venture out in the cold today so I thought I would just post pics from years past. It all looks about the same today as it did then anyway so you will get the general idea. Maybe I will go out tomorrow and brave the cold.

It seems like this was a huge storm from the looks of it.
Here's a picture looking down the road from our house. It makes it look like we live in farmland or far away from human contact. We actually live in the suburbs with houses on every side. It was just the angle of the camera that made it look that way.

A picture of our backyard. We do have woods behind our house which is nice. The snow-covered stumps are from a fire pit we had during the summertime.

Night shots from our deck. It's a little eery looking, isn't it.
